Bright Findings #1 – When Flexibility Supports Well-Being and Performance

Content

We are pleased to invite you to the first edition of Bright Findings, a new EU GREEN webinar series designed to highlight research that inspires optimism and contributes to addressing today’s major societal challenges. Through this series, EU GREEN aims to create a space for dialogue and knowledge sharing, showcasing how scientific curiosity and creativity can generate positive impact and offer promising perspectives for the future. For our inaugural webinar, "When Flexibility Supports Well-Being and Performance", Tea Korkeakunnas (University of Gävle) will explore the relationship between remote work, well-being, and performance.

Drawing on qualitative and quantitative research conducted in Sweden, this webinar will explore the effects of remote work on our well-being. Particular attention will be given to the questions of autonomy, organizational justice, collegial support, and trust, as well as to findings on the value of telework in relation to a number of specific task types and team contexts. This session will be an opportunity to discuss how telework can become a sustainable resource rather than a strain, and invite reflection on what this means for our future working life.
